Total No.Of Posts : 200

Age:
Minimum : 23 years

Maximum : 32 years

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory
bodies.

Note: Candidates having professional qualification like MBA (Finance) / CA/ ICWA/ CFA/
FRM/ CAIIB from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies will be preferred.

Post Qualification Work Experience: Post Qualification Work Experience in processing of credit proposals in officer cadre with any Scheduled Commercial Bank for a minimum period of two years immediately preceding the cut-off date of application as per this Notification is mandatory.

SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may comprise of Online Examination / Group Discussion (if conducted) and / or Personal Interview. The Bank reserves the absolute right to decide as to whether to use all or any of these modes for selection for the notified posts.

HOW TO APPLY: The candidates can apply only online from 04.10.2017 to 21.10.2017 (both days inclusive) and no other mode of application will be accepted.

EXAMINATION CENTERS: The Online Examination, if conducted, may be tentatively held on 25.11.2017 at the following centers: (a) Bengaluru (b) Delhi (c) Kolkata (d) Lucknow (e) Mumbai.

Applications are invited from Indian male candidates possessing educational qualifications

and age, as prescribed below, for recruitment to the post of Navik {Domestic Branch (Cook &

Steward)} in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union.

 

Posts: Navik Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward)

Educational Qualification: 10th Class with 50% marks in aggregate from a board of Education recognized by Central/State Government. (5% relaxation in above minimum cut off will be given for SC/ST candidates and outstanding sports person of National level who have obtained 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in any field sports events at the Open National Championship/ Interstate National Championship. This relaxation will also be applicable to the ward of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service).

Job Requirement:
(i) Cook. They would be required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties for efficient running of organization.
(ii) Steward. They would be required to serve food in the officer’s messes, as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties for efficient running of organization.

Age Limit: 18 to 22 years as on 01 Apr 2018 i.e born between 01 Apr 1996 to 31 Mar 2000,   both dates inclusive. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).

Pay, Perks and Others Benefits:-
(a) Pay & Allowances. Starting Basic Pay Scale for Navik (DB) is Rs. 21700/-
(Pay Level-3 post 7 th pay commission implementation), plus Dearness Allowance and
other allowances based on nature of duty/place of posting as per the regulation enforced
time to time.
(b) Promotion. Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Pradhan Adhikari with
pay scale Rs. 47600/- (Pay level 8) with Dearness Allowance (post 7th pay commission
implementation).
